Little Rascals

We met this friendly family at the state park near home. The first time we saw them, we thought there were only 3, but on the next visit, we spotted 5. They appear to live between the woods and a drain pipe in this area. They get quite close to the car and stand up on their hind legs to get a look in. Phil promptly closes all window when they get too close! They appear to have no fear of people - hopefully all are healthy!

That's the way the raccoons are at the state park near our house. Campers feed them, so they expect that all people will feed them. Their boldness makes me nervous.

You are right to use caution, remember the monkeys at Parc Safari African!

They look friendly to me. I think you should take a bag of chips out there and see if you can hand feed them....

That's like throwing food to seagulls. It seems like a good idea at the time but the result may be more than you bargained for!

I'm glad to see that you are getting out and enjoying the park.

Keep the posts coming!

Cool picture of raccoons, they look friendly but can really do you some damage. Just ask a dog.
